German Shepherd Information
German shepherd information can be obtained in rescues that will save both an adult dog and a puppy.
The purpose of these dogs developed centuries ago, since the first man captured the first dog. The dogs were taught to help man hunt and give him advance warning of predators. As the man settled from the nomadic wanderings, he needed a dog for other aims. The diversity in dogs was needed, thus, the animals were divided and raised according to their abilities. This breed was used as a working and guarding dog. Thanks to its intelligence, it was also used as a friend and a pet.

If you need a family companion, there is no need to buy a champion quality dog. Pet quality dogs from reputable breeders have the same personalities and working abilities as show quality ones. Pet quality dogs cannot participate in competitions because of minor conformation faults and should be spayed or neutered. Prior to obtaining a dog of this breed, be ready to answer questions like: why do you need a dog of this particular breed; are you prepared to devote much time and care to the dog; who will take care for the pet when you are away; and so forth.
